Seasonal Cleanup in Winter Springs
We clear out leaves, storm debris, dead plants and overgrown beds so your yard is ready for the next season. If a storm did the damage, we photograph it before we touch anything, so you have a record to show your insurance company.
What a seasonal cleanup covers
A seasonal cleanup is a one-time reset for your yard. We rake and haul leaves, cut back what has outgrown its space, pull dead annuals and weeds, and clean up beds and edges. It is the right call when the yard has gotten ahead of you, or when you want it in shape before storm season or after it.
In Central Florida the work follows the calendar. Live oaks drop most of their leaves in late winter and spring. Summer rain pushes fast growth. Late summer and fall bring storms that leave branches and palm fronds everywhere.
When there is storm damage, we work a little differently. We take dated photos first and write down what we found, so you have something real to hand your insurance company. We do not act as your adjuster and we cannot tell you what your policy covers. We can give you clear records and a plain estimate.
What we do on a cleanup
- Leaf and debris haul-off
- We rake lawns, beds and the edges along fences and the house. Leaves, sticks and fallen fronds get bagged or loaded and hauled away. Nothing gets left in a pile by the curb unless you ask for that.
- Shrub and groundcover cutback
- We trim shrubs back off walkways, windows and the house wall. Groundcovers that have crept into the lawn or over edging get cut back to a clean line.
- Bed cleanup
- Dead annuals, weeds and frost-burned growth come out. We re-cut bed edges so they hold their shape. If the beds need fresh material afterward, we can quote that through our mulch and beds service.
- Storm debris cleanup
- Broken limbs on the ground, downed fronds and scattered yard debris get cut up and removed. Anything still hanging in a tree or tied to a large trunk goes to our tree trimming and removal crew.
- Photos and written notes
- When damage may be part of an insurance claim, we photograph each area before and after. You get the photos and a written line-item estimate you can share with your adjuster.
Signs your yard is due for a cleanup
Leaves are smothering the grass
A thick mat of oak leaves blocks light and holds moisture against the turf. Grass under it thins out and goes yellow.
Shrubs are touching the house
Plants pressed against the walls or the roofline keep siding damp and give bugs an easy path in. They also block windows and walkways.
Beds have lost their edges
When grass and weeds have grown into the beds, the line between lawn and bed is gone. Fixing it now is far easier than after another season.
There is debris after a storm
Branches, fronds and scattered yard waste after high wind. If you think you will file a claim, have it documented before you or anyone else clears it.
Dead plants after a cold snap
A few cold nights can brown out tender plants. Some come back and some do not. We will tell you which is which before we pull anything.
What sets the price of a cleanup
We do not quote a cleanup off a phone description. Two yards on the same street can need very different amounts of work, so we come out and look first, at no charge. If a big job comes at a bad time, you can spread out the cost. We can finance amounts as high as $100,000, with terms anywhere from two to twelve years, and there is no penalty if you pay it off early.
Yard size and how far behind it is
A yard that gets cleaned twice a year takes less time than one left alone for two years. Heavy overgrowth means more cutting and more loads.
Volume of debris
Haul-off is a real cost. A few bags of leaves is one thing. A trailer full of storm limbs is another.
Access
Narrow side yards, locked gates and fenced backyards with no trailer access mean more carrying by hand.
Storm documentation
Photographing and writing up damage area by area adds a little time. We include it in the estimate so you see it up front.
How a cleanup day goes
- 1
Free walkthrough
We walk your yard with you and talk through what you want done. If there is storm damage, we take photos on this visit.
- 2
Written estimate
You get a line-item estimate that lists each area and task. No add-ons appear on the day unless you approve them first.
- 3
The work
The crew starts with debris and leaves, then shrubs and beds, then edges. We keep tools and trailers off soft lawn where we can and work around your car and the kids' things.
- 4
Haul-off and final look
We blow off walks, patios and the driveway, load everything up and take it away. Then we walk the yard with you so you can point out anything we missed.

Seasonal cleanup questions
Will my homeowners insurance pay for storm cleanup?
It depends on your policy, and only your insurance company can decide that. Some policies cover debris removal in certain cases and some do not. What we can do is photograph the damage before we clear it and give you a written estimate. That gives your adjuster what they usually ask for.
Should I clean up storm debris myself before filing a claim?
Clear anything blocking a door, driveway or walkway for safety. Beyond that, take photos or have us take them before the yard gets cleaned up. Once debris is gone, it is hard to show what was there.
How often should I schedule a cleanup?
Most yards around Winter Springs do well with one in spring after the oaks drop and one in fall after storm season. If you already have regular lawn care, the cleanup handles the bigger jobs that weekly mowing does not.
Do you haul everything away?
Yes. Leaves, cuttings and debris leave with us. If you would rather keep leaves for your own compost pile, tell us and we will set them aside.
What if something gets damaged while your crew is working?
We are a family-owned company, business licensed and fully insured. Trimmers and blowers near your home can kick up a rock or nick a screen now and then. If that happens, we tell you right away and it gets handled through our coverage, not left for you to sort out.
